USP Eligibility Requirements for DPP Students

Eligibility: Oregon State University’s Degree Partnership Program (DPP) allows you to be admitted and enrolled at both OSU and any one of our community college partner schools. If you have been admitted to OSU as a DPP student and were awarded a University Scholars Program (USP) scholarship such as the Finley Academic Excellence Scholarship, Provost Scholarship, or WUE Scholarship at the time of admission, you can retain eligibility for your USP scholarship while taking advantage of DPP.

To be eligible to receive a payment of your USP scholarship in a given term, you must meet the following enrollment requirements as outlined in the terms and conditions of your award:

  • Enroll in at least 6 credits at OSU, and
  • Enroll in at least 12 credits total between OSU and your partner school, and
  • Select OSU as your home institution for financial aid purposes.

If you do not meet all of these requirements in a given term, your scholarship will be cancelled and you will lose one term of scholarship eligibility (USP scholarships are available for up to 12 terms total). You may request your scholarship be reinstated when you meet the enrollment requirements to receive a payment.

Reinstatement: To be eligible for reinstatement of your scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Maintain continuous full-time enrollment (12 or more credits each term) at your DPP partner community college, and
  • Earn at least 36 credits each academic year, and
  • Earn a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher by the end of each academic year, and
  • Submit your reinstatement request within 10 terms of your original term of admission to OSU.

If you have met the above requirements, please submit the DPP Scholarship Reinstatement Request Form the term before you would like your scholarship reinstated.  The OSU Scholarship Office will verify eligibility before reinstating your scholarship.
