SCHOLARSHIPS FOR NEW NON-RESIDENT TRANSFERS

The following scholarships are for non-resident students, with 36 or more quarter credit hours, enrolling for the first time starting in the Summer or Fall 2019 only. All scholarships are based on available funding.  E-campus (distance/online) students are not eligible for these scholarships.

Transfer credits from other institutions do not count toward the annual credit amount required for renewal. 

Aloha, Gem State, Golden State, Evergreen State, and Provost Scholarships

  •      3.00 – 3.49 transfer GPA = auto $2,000 (renewable annually)*
  •      3.50 – 3.74 transfer GPA = auto $3,000 (renewable annually)*
  •      3.75 – 4.00 transfer GPA = auto $5,000 (renewable annually)*

*Awards made to transfers are renewable for three additional years (four total years of support).

Awards are based on the information provided in the OSU Application for Admission and official transcripts from ALL post-high school institutions. To be considered, transfer students must apply by February 1st for the upcoming fall term. Transfer scholarships are awarded only to students admitted for fall term.

Oregon State Departmental Scholarships

Some scholarship opportunities are available for freshman and transfer students within their college or major. Each department administers their own scholarships, sets deadlines, posts and reviews applications, and awards based on their established criteria. Exploring your options couldn’t be easier! Third-Party Scholarships

The OSU Scholarship Office evaluates any third-party scholarship information submitted to our office for validity, legitimacy, and applicability to OSU students. Scholarships are submitted from local, state, national, and international organizations and are not specifically affiliated with OSU. Students can browse posted scholarships here

Tips for searching for third-party scholarships:

  • Ensure that the awarding agency is an actual organization
  • Check the organizations website for validity and reviews
  • Never pay to apply for scholarships
  • Email or call the organization and ask to speak with the scholarship representative
  • Develop and a scholarship resume and standard essay to submit with scholarship applications
