Oregon State Departmental Scholarships

OSU's colleges and departments offer donor-funded scholarship opportunities to students who are currently enrolled, or plan to enroll (incoming freshmen or transfers students), in an academic program within their college or department.  OSU's colleges and departments typically award over $10 million dollars in donor-funded scholarships to thousands of students each year!

Most colleges and departments accept applications for these scholarship awards through OSU's scholarship management system, OSU ScholarDollars.  ScholarDollars begins accepting applications on November 1st each year.  Most scholarships have an application deadline on or after February 1st, but individual deadlines may vary.  Submit your application before February 1st to maximize your scholarship opportunities!

Third-Party Scholarships

The OSU Scholarship Office evaluates any third-party scholarship information submitted to our office for validity, legitimacy, and applicability to OSU students.  Scholarships are submitted from local, state, national, and international organizations and are not specifically affiliated with OSU.  Students can learn more about third-party scholarships through OSU ScholarDollars

Tips for searching for third-party scholarships:

  • Ensure that the awarding agency is an actual organization
  • Check the organization's website for validity and reviews
  • Never pay to apply for scholarships
